I am currently working on a book project which will appear here for general use. It will also be self published on Amazon as a print on demand book. An agent was impressed with the premise and sample chapters but his publisher less so. However, I think it lends itself to a self publishing project rather than waste time trying to find an agent. There are many beginner astronomy books out there by well-established authors and it would be difficult to compete. My book is different in that it starts with observing rather than focussing on equipment and background information. For example, I would draw the reader’s attention to an easy to see object , provide a clear explanation of what it is and then go deeper into the science behind it. I like to know what I am looking at before learning more deeply about what it is.
