Astronomy on a Friday

Every Friday during term time I run a small young observers’ group from 1930 to 2030 during which we learn about constellations, planets, the Sun, our Moon, the historic telescopes and, most importantly, I teach naked eye observing wherever possible.  The aim is for everyone to be able to find their way around the sky in order to then use equipment for more detailed observation and to have an understanding of basic astronomy.  And a lifelong enthusiasm for the night sky.
